Olivia had a great Memorial Day weekend! She saw lots of family and friends, and went to her first ever party! It was so exciting to be able to bring our baby to a party like any other parent (albeit with IV pole, feeding pump, and suction supplies).
Olivia had never seen another baby or child up close beforehand (other than her 5-year-old cousin while she was still in the hospital)! She was so curious about them, and would point and wave, but when they came close, she cried. She had a bit of stranger danger but I hope that we will get to take Olivia out more so she can begin to see her world.
We had a lovely Mother’s Day, this year at home! We were very lucky to celebrate in our own house.
Last week, Liv met her dad’s cousin and got to spend time with his grandmother too! Olivia has gone on several walks with us and Anya, and seems to really enjoy each one. Spending time outdoors with her is the best, because she just wants to explore.
Olivia now weighs about 22 lbs and is about 27.5” long. She is unfortunately still vomiting four to five times a day, so we have transitioned back to feeding her through the J-tube only, and she is still on her infant formula. We are hoping to try a different junior formula and see if that helps. Feeding therapy is improving somewhat from our last update, with Olivia showing the most interest in pureed prunes (the bar is very, very low, mind you).
Finally, I want to share the link to our fundraising page for the Eversource Walk for Kids! We are just over $300 away from our goal, but would love to break through and raise even more! Thank you for your support, and if you want to walk with us, just reach out! We are excited that Olivia will be able to join us on the walk this year!
