I have a mouth! With the new tube holder, there's less tape on my face now, which is great!
- Olivia has recovered from her PDA Surgery and is in the midst of a steroid treatment now
- The hope is that the steroids will help Olivia’s lung development, and reduce her need for breathing support
- So far, her oxygen has remained stable around 50%
- Some of her ventilator support settings have been modestly weaned,
- In the coming days we will discuss her long-term care options
- Olivia may need to undergo further tests to determine if her BPD is mostly in her lungs or in her airways
