- Olivia turned 100 days old today!
- Weight = 6lbs 3oz – more than four times her birth weight
- Tracheostomy Update:
- Olivia’s procedure is scheduled for Monday, April 3.
- She will not be getting the G-tube inserted during the same operation. If these two procedures happen together, the G-tube goes first and they don’t think Olivia can handle that procedure at this time. So they would then have to abandon the trach, which is significantly more important to get done.
- We were told to expect a couple of weeks in between surgeries
- Olivia will be on a paralytic post-surgery for 5 days, at which time it will be very difficult (emotionally) to see her.
- Her team has been very reassuring, in that they believe this will help her development significantly
- We love her so much and are looking forward to what this surgery will allow – things like picking her up ourselves, giving her a bath, and letting her grab toys are just some of the basic things we’ve been waiting for.
