July 26 – I’m home! (Olivia’s Blog)
I love you Mommy (And Daddy)

After 217 days in the hospital, I finally came home to Tyngsboro! I was sent off in style at Franciscan’s by all her favorite nurses, therapists, NPs, and helpers.

I won’t remember all these amazing people, but I will always be grateful to them!

After my mommy and daddy loaded me into the car, I slept most of the ride home – I’m really getting to like the car! When we pulled into the driveway, we found that our house was fully decorated with welcome home banners and balloons inside and out.

So much love from the neighbors and my family!

Our neighbors were waiting for us to arrive with posters and welcome wishes.

We got home before the neighbors knew it and they got caught putting up their signs and balloons!

Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Dan, and Auntie Amanda then spent the rest of the day setting up my room with all my equipment, so I can safely play and grow at home. It took a long time to put away all the boxes of stuff, and we still have more coming!

My room looks messy, but it all makes sense to Mommy and Daddy!

I love everything about my room! I love my comfy crib and all my blankets, and all my soft toys!

I am tiny but mighty, like my little giraffe!

After such a big day, I had a wonderful night of sleep, until 5:30am when I really wanted to snuggle with Daddy.

I put my hands up in the air like I just don’t care!

In the morning, Mommy and Daddy gave me a tour of my new home and watched me play on the living room floor while daddy played piano.

My new house has a downstairs too!?!?

Today, we’re going on another car ride! I have an appointment to check on my hemangiomas. I hope Mommy and Daddy get some rest soon because I still don’t have any nursing hours finalized yet, but there are a lot of people interested since I’m so cute. (Check out my ad here!)

Mommy and Daddy are so grateful for everyone’s kind wishes and for giving us some space during the transition. Feel free to reach out directly again! (But sometimes I’ll take up all their attention and it might take them a while to get back to you!)

Love,
Olivia Ω
