Merry Christmas and Happy First Birthday to Miss Olivia Hope! We had a lovely small birthday celebration last week, and a small Christmas get-together this week to share our love with Livie.
Olivia received so many fun gifts and adorable outfits at both events. We are so thankful she was home for Christmas this year.
It may be hard to look at, but we’d like to share Olivia’s progress over the course of one year. She is an amazing miracle baby who we are lucky to have.
Olivia did have a small scare last week when we suctioned blood from her trach. We took her to Children’s on 12/22, and spent the night in the MICU. The doctors performed a bedside scope of her trach, and thankfully saw no blood or cuts. They presume the blood is from how much suctioning we had been needing to do, or from suctioning too deeply. We were sent home on 12/23, which we were very grateful for. Olivia also battled another two respiratory infections in the last two weeks, but is doing much better now that those course of antibiotics have been completed.
Olivia is weaning off two of her meds, and has reduced a third. We are very excited for her meds list to get a few lines shorter. She currently weighs 7.95 kg, or 17 lbs 8 oz. She is 65 cm long, or 25.6”. She’s happily in 9-month clothing now!
Thank you everyone for the support over the past year. We couldn’t have made it this far without you.
Such a beautiful writeup. Happy New year to the Maybury family 👪 ❤.
Merry Christmas!
