EXCITING NEWS! OLIVIA IS BEING MOVED TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOR THE PDA PROCEDURE!

• There were several steps before getting to this point.
  • We’ve been waiting for this since Saturday, when we found out her blood cultures were negative.
  • The doctors then had to talk to insurance to get approval to move her over.
  • After that, we were waiting on an available bed at Children’s.
  • Becky just got the call at 8pm that they were moving her over!
• Today, Olivia is two months old! To celebrate, she gets to ride in her first vehicle…an ambulance for the two blocks to BCH.
• Olivia weighs 2180g, or 4lbs 12oz
• She had an X-ray earlier this week, and her breathing tube was moved further down her throat
  • This is because she’s been growing, and the tube was not far enough in her trachea to be fully helping her out

In other news…

• Becky and Max ran into one of Becky’s awesome antepartum nurses from her stay in the hospital
• Becky goes back to work tomorrow, part-time – wish her luck!
• Becky and Max have been able to hold Olivia most of the last few days – they feel so lucky
