EXCITING NEWS! OLIVIA IS BEING MOVED TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOR THE PDA PROCEDURE!
- There were several steps before getting to this point.
- We’ve been waiting for this since Saturday, when we found out her blood cultures were negative.
- The doctors then had to talk to insurance to get approval to move her over.
- After that, we were waiting on an available bed at Children’s.
- Becky just got the call at 8pm that they were moving her over!
- Today, Olivia is two months old! To celebrate, she gets to ride in her first vehicle…an ambulance for the two blocks to BCH.
- Olivia weighs 2180g, or 4lbs 12oz
- She had an X-ray earlier this week, and her breathing tube was moved further down her throat
- This is because she’s been growing, and the tube was not far enough in her trachea to be fully helping her out
In other news…
- Becky and Max ran into one of Becky’s awesome antepartum nurses from her stay in the hospital
- Becky goes back to work tomorrow, part-time – wish her luck!
- Becky and Max have been able to hold Olivia most of the last few days – they feel so lucky
Happy 2 months Olivia! 💕
Bless you all. Becky, your colleagues will be so happy to see your beautiful smile. And that cutie grand niece of mine needs a kiss from us.
