- Peripartum Cardiomyopathy

- This is remarkably rare, and very easy to spot
- Dr. Mohan indicated that on average, they see one patient per year with this condition in Beth Israel
- This would be accompanied by
- Severe chest pain
- Unexpected drops in heart rate
- Other huge swings in vital signs would be accompanied
- They are aware that Becky is at risk for this but are continuing to monitor and not concerned at this time about her having this.
Don’t know if it’s important, but I have Factor V Leiden deficiency which is a genetic clotting disorder. I have two bad copies of the gene. Deb has one. I can’t remember if the girls got tested, but I am on Coumadin for life.
