Dec 31 – Becky & Max Update

  • Becky and Max are continuing to enjoy the comforts of home
  • Max and Becky have seen Olivia every day, and plan to keep doing so going forward.
  • We are not really “sleeping” but rather taking a few 2-3-hour naps throughout the day, interrupted by medications and pumping schedules
    • Mostly it’s two of these daily, but we try to make it three to four per day
  • Driving to Boston has been fairly easy during the week before New Year’s
    • We have found that we have a spike in energy while near/at the hospital, but we are exhausted when we leave and are coming home
  • Becky’s blood pressure continues to be in the mild ranges for most measurements. We have not skipped any BP meds, but Becky has begun weaning off narcotics for pain
  • We had a great zoom call with college friends last night
  • We are planning to move to Melrose at some point in the next week or two (Thank you Chris and Kathleen!)
    • This will save us immense amounts of time on the road, and allows us the flexibility to come and go multiple times in a day.
    • Anya will be living with us in Melrose, loving the city walks. We will get to go to her favorite dog park in Malden, and probably see some of her first friends! She’s going to be so happy.
