Olivia celebrated Easter early with some family. She loved pulling the eggs out of the basket, and was mildly successful at opening her presents.
Olivia has had a few doctor’s appointments this month – she’s about 20lbs 4oz now, and 27.5” long. Still pretty small, but she feels heavy to us!
This month, Olivia has been improving her rolling skills. She is closer to crawling now, too. With assistance, Olivia can move forward. She still loves to stand the most, though.
We have had some success with feeding therapy this month, which is so exciting. Olivia now leans in to “kiss” whatever we are holding wherever we say the word. She is holding the spoon with puree on it, and alternates between “feeding” Mom, Dad, her singing sunflower, and then putting the spoon in her own mouth!
Olivia loves bubbles. She was introduced during one of her feeding therapy sessions, and is fascinated!
She is starting to get chattier while wearing her speaking valve, which we love. It’s amazing to get to hear her voice. She’s worn the speaking valve up to two hours at a time. We are working towards her wearing it all day except for when sleeping. Hopefully this can be achieved in the next few months!
BCH Walk For Kids!
Recently, Olivia was featured by Boston Children’s in their latest fundraising walk email. We will once again be raising money and walking to support the Eversource Walk for Kids this summer. Our team fundraising page link can be found here, if you are able to support!
